If you’re curious about the wonderful world of Metal Clay, this introductory class will give you all the basics….and then some! This class is appropriate for an absolute beginner, as well as those wanting a refresher or looking to expand their skills.
Join Liz Reynolds as we learn how to form and texture this malleable metal which, once fired, becomes a solid piece of bronze, copper or silver.
·Explore a wide range of texturing methods
·How-to basics like reconditioning clay when it becomes dry, and what to do if fresh clay straight out of the package is too sticky
·Learn a simple technique for determining when your clay is “just right.”
·I will demonstrate constructing and attaching a variety of bails, both hidden and integrated into a pendant design.
·I will also show some of the latest fun and functional tools that are constantly being developed to enhance working with metal clay.
·You will also learn the important differences between silver and base metal clays.
I will be presenting and demonstrating best practices techniques, and you are free to work along with me or simply observe and work on your own after the class. Choose the One-On-One or Private option and include building your first project. Have a certain project in mind, then the Private Personalized option is for you.
·2.5 hours of online live interactive demonstration.
