Join award winning metal clay artist Rodi Frunze in this intensive 3 workshop. You will receive personalized guidance in understanding and developing techniques for working with fine silver .999 metal clay and 22k Gold overlay paste.
With Rodi's gentle care, you will build a pendant design based on the project example. Develop a deep understanding of Rodis layering to create dimension and contrast in your designs.
Explore design principles based on Rodis "Designing with Flow" approach. Get to grips with shrinkage and warping with proven best practices for dealing with pre and post firing fine silver metal clay.
Along with a host of rotary tool metal finishing best practices, you will also master the application of patina and 22k Gold accents. 22k Gold Aura22 paste is included.
All required products besides silver metal clay and tools (usage) are included in the workshop pricing. Participants may bring their own silver clay - PMC3, PMC+ or Art Clay Silver or simply select the option including clay at checkout.
This workshop is designed to develop, enhance and "Rejuvenate" your creative metal clay skills.

The workshop is located within the Best Western, Dorchester hotel situated in the downtown. Stay at the hotel and you will be not only onsite for each day, but you will also be only steps away from the habour-front walkway. With all the ameneties, shops and restos on your doorstep, every moment is a gateway to relaxation.

On-Site Accommodation Package
The workshop location is an executive suite within the Dorchester Hotel in downtown Nanaimo. The "workshop + Accommodation package includes use of the ensuite bedroom featuring a luxurious King bed.
This suite also features in-suite amenities including two LCD TVs, free high speed Wi-Fi, data ports, a Keurig K Cup coffee machine with complimentary coffee, a refrigerator, work/desk space.
NOTE: Only 1 workshop + accommodation package available per workshop.

Although the workshop is intensive, covering every step in the creative process, you will be amazed to discover your hidden capacity. Beginners as young as 14 to experenced metal clay artists (let just say over 70) have marvelled at their accomplishments.
